Creating your Grocery Stokvel account is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps:

1. Visit the Sign Up Page: Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top navigation or go directly to the registration page.
2. Enter Your Details: Provide your full name, email address, mobile number, and create a secure password.
3. Verify Your Email: Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.
4. Complete Your Profile: Add additional information like your location and profile photo.
5. Start Exploring: Browse public stokvels or create your own to begin saving!

There are two ways to join a stokvel on our platform:

Method 1: Browse Public Stokvels

1. Navigate to the "Browse Stokvels" page from the main menu
2. Use filters to find stokvels by location, contribution amount, or frequency
3. Click on a stokvel card to view detailed information
4. Click "Join This Stokvel" button
5. Review the stokvel rules and contribution requirements
6. Confirm your membership and make your first contribution

Method 2: Use an Invite Code

1. Ask a stokvel admin or member for their unique invite code
2. Go to your dashboard and click "Join Stokvel"
3. Enter the invite code in the provided field
4. Review the stokvel details
5. Accept the invitation and make your first contribution

Ready to start your own stokvel? Here's how:

1. Click "Create Stokvel": Access this from your dashboard or main navigation.
2. Basic Information:
   • Choose a memorable name for your stokvel
   • Write a clear description of your group's purpose
   • Add a profile image or logo
3. Set Contribution Details:
   • Define the contribution amount (e.g., R200, R500)
   • Choose frequency (weekly or monthly)
   • Set maximum number of members (optional)
4. Configure Delivery Settings:
   • Choose between Common Drop-Off Point or Multiple Addresses
   • Set your location/delivery area
5. Privacy Settings:
   • Make your stokvel public (visible in browse) or private (invite-only)
6. Review and Create: Double-check all settings and click "Create Stokvel"

Essential Profile Information:

• Profile Photo: Upload a clear, recent photo to help members recognize you
• Full Name: Use your real name for authenticity and trust
• Mobile Number: Required for account security and stokvel communications
• Location: Help members find local stokvels by adding your area
• Bio (Optional): Share a brief introduction about yourself

To Update Your Profile:

1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
2. Select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown
3. Edit any field you wish to update
4. Click "Save Changes" when done
